In 1968, we started a reading (R)evolution as the first professional organization in our state dedicated to improving reading education.
Then and now, WVRA members have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to encouraging and supporting all West Virginia readers. More than 50 years later, we remain confident, committed, and caring West Virginians who are dedicated to the importance of reading and literacy.
Becoming a member is easy. As easy as, well, opening a book. WVRA membership will get you access to countless lessons and strategies, learning resources and tools, seminars and events, and a community of like-minded people dedicated to literacy and growth.
The West Virginia Reading Association is dedicated to improving achievement in lifelong learning. From advancing quality staff, promoting scientific thinking, and advocating literacy initiatives in government and communities, we are always broadening the opportunities for leadership and learning.
